Ending With a Bang

All right, if you are so entirely sick of pictures with snow and pictures of our trip, I promise these are the last! I know some of you are probably wanting to see a picture that doesn't include the white stuff since you have seen enough of it by this time in the year. So, like I said, these are the last ones... I promise!We finished our trip by heading to my parents' cabin in Island Park for the weekend. It gave us a chance to finally meet up with my sister Serena and her husband Ryan, and their boys Jackson and Taylor. Charlie & Whitney, Mike & Angie, Marilee, Rhett, & Gracie, Grandma & Grandpa, and Carter all joined us as well. So we had a full house to say the least! We had a great time making the most of our last few days of snow and relatives. Tyler finally got his chance to ride the snowmobiles. He got to ride with Grandpa and is still talking about it to this day. Although, he keeps saying that he really thinks Grandpa needs to buy a GREEN snowmobile... C'mon, Grandpa! Just for Tyler? Please?? We took the kids on a ride to Big Springs and just loved it!

The trip also included Grandpa helping the kids sled down the BIG hill. It was a hit, as you can imagine! He would help them get all set to go and send them on their way and then he would drive the snowmobile to the bottom and pull them back up to the top. So, it couldn't get better than that for sledding as a kid since you can go fast down a big hill, but you don't have to hike back up. So that also meant that the kids could go forever because they didn't get tired out!

It was pretty easy to tell that the kids had a great time!

This picture above will forever be an all time favorite of mine. This is Tyler and his cousin Taylor. It is not as sharp as I would have liked from a technical aspect, but boy oh boy, have you ever seen more genuine faces than that??? I love it because I can vividly remember standing at the bottom of the hill watching them come down and hearing their squeals of laughter. And I hear it again when I see this picture!

Tyler fell off the sled when it was getting pulled back up the hill, and nobody realized it, so he was the lone man standing until they came back down.

And there is possibly not a funnier thing than to see little kids wear snowmobile helmets. The helmet is half their size and all you can see is their eyes. It's pretty funny!
And don't be fooled in thinking Tyler was the only one having a good time. Sam was definitely not lacking for attention and was quite enjoying himself!

And then we headed back to Louisiana and returned to green grass, blooming flowers, warm temperatures, shorts and sandals. It almost seems like a dream that we were playing in all the snow not long ago. And now I'm finally caught up on posting pictures from our trip, but am now behind on posting pictures since we've been back. I guess I need to quit taking so many pictures!
