Best Frienemies {or something like that!}

Friends or enemies? We aren't quite sure, but we're hoping for the former, not the latter!

Preparing for a trip to Idaho always involves Tyler talking a lot about playing with his cousin Cash. Tyler makes plans of all the things they are going to do together once we get there and simply cannot wait to see him. They started things off pretty well this trip, but after about two days, were having the typical troubles a 2 and 3 year old have when they get together. We heard lots of "no! no! no!" and "mine! mine! mine!" and there were lots of reminders about sharing and such. You would have thought they really were enemies by the sounds of things sometimes. BUT the fun thing is, I think they really do like each other...a lot! So, maybe there really is such a thing as a frienemy? Tyler has talked about Cash every day since we got home and they kept asking for each other day after day that we were there. I think Tyler really does miss Cash. They really did get to do some pretty fun things together. They watched a lot of movies together, went to lunch together, played trains together, went to story time at the library, and played in the snow together. We took Cash with us over to my grandma's house to go sledding. My grandma's house is the BEST place for little kids to sled. Her back yard is sloped so she has a small hill on each side of her yard, which is perfect for little kids and great for the parents to not have to hike a huge hill to get them back up to the top. This was Tyler's first sledding experience and it was fun for me to take him to my grandma's house because it brought back A LOT of memories for me, that's for sure! I spent a lot of time there as a kid since it was only a mile away from my own house and we would sled for hours. Cash is attempting a run in the picture above and here is one of Tyler's first attempts below.

Here are the boys in matching John Deere green watching "Mickey Nouse" on a little DVD player with Grandpa.
And then we were so lucky to go with Cash and have Uncle Todd (Cash's dad) take the boys to see some tractors. Always a highlight for Tyler. It was so fun!! These boys looked so little up against those big tractor wheels!

From the looks of it, they had a pretty good time together. We miss you, Cash!
