Countdown to Noon

For New Year's Eve this year, we decided to take the kids to Countdown to Noon at the zoo. It sure does seem like we have been doing a lot of events at the zoo lately!! But we love our zoo! So, they were hosing this little New Year's party for kids with Radio Disney so we went and loved it. The weather was great and we we glad that Garrett was able to take so much time off between Christmas and New Years so we could spend so much time with him!
They gave all the kids a party hat and a noise maker to blow at noon...but as you can imagine, kids were blowing them like crazy WAAAAY before noon! :)


So, the 'magic' hour was upon us and it was time to toast in the Noon Year.
With a fancy non-alcoholic beverage, of course!

(if you look closely, that is indeed a mustache that Garrett is sporting...he decided Christmas break was the perfect time to grow one. But you can hardly see it for a reason--it didn't grow very fast. Hopefully I'll have a better picture to post soon to do it some justice.)




Tyler was so excited to see the New Orleans hornet there. Sam, on the other hand, thought he was very very scary.

And after seeing a few animals, we finished off with a carousel ride, of course!


Which Sam was a little concerned with once we actually started going. But he made it through unscathed! Happy New Year!!
