Our halls are sufficiently decked and here's how it went down. After we got our tree home, we promptly got the lights on it and called it quits for the day since we were all exhausted!! But we did our fair share of getting Sam untangled from the lights.
So on Saturday, we finally got a chance to get all of the ornaments on. It all started out in happy holiday fashion--banging glass ornaments together...
eating some of the others.
What's not to be happy about?
Tyler even figured out how cool it is to see his reflection in the ball so he kept making faces at himself.
And you have proof here where many of the ornaments were originally placed on our tree. Go figure.
Tyler worked tirelessly to get his ornaments exactly where he wanted them.
And low and behold, Sam would have none of that. Our night consisted of Tyler putting an ornament on the tree, and Sam promptly removing it.
Sam was especially proud of himself this time because he got it off the tree and snuck away with it behind Tyler's back.
But Tyler then snatched that ornament out of Sam's hands so fast, Sam didn't know what to do with himself. And thus we start the Great Holiday Meltdown of 2008... He bawled,
and he bawled,
and he bawled,
and then he turned all splotchy red in the face like his Aunt Marilee and Cousin Gracie do when they cry (sorry Marilee, but really he reminds me exactly of you guys and the red blotches when he cries!), and he bawled some more.
And then he sat in the middle of the floor all by his lonesome and pouted since no one would come to his rescue. These are the special moments the holidays are made of, right? Stay tuned for more Harmonious Holiday Moments from the Thalgott Home, as we've only just begun.(and after all of this, I didn't even get a picture of my tree all decorated. I'll have to post one another day.)

Hey, it isn't a holiday without some good ol' sibling rivalry! :)
That's great! It sounds oddly familiar with how life went down here. Only it was Cameron running away from Katelyn and Katelyn crying! :)
Crank up the Christmas music to drown out Sam's crying, stuff your mouth with chocolate covered cherries, and you'll be surprised how quickly that "Bah humbug!" feeling melts away. (Thanks so much you guys for praying for Scott; we do feel so very blessed!)
Too funny. It's not Christmas without a meltdown, tantrum, fight, or something in our house. LOL
But when it's all said and done, it's nice to enjoy the lights from the tree, a fire, hot cocoa, and Christmas music & movies snuggled on the couch.
That is SO funny! We were both laughing just picturing the Holiday Festivities play out!! We love and miss you all!
